What form of payments do you accept?
You can make payment using PayPal™ or you can choose to arrange a direct debit into our bank account.
What is PayPal™?
PayPal™ is an online payment processing company widely used on the Internet to facilitate sales transactions, including credit card payments. If you choose to pay with a PayPal™ account or a credit card via PayPal™, PayPal™ will securely process your payment for the seller. The seller will never see your credit card number or other financial information.

Why won't PayPal allow me to complete payment?
PayPal uses various security measures to protect their users. PayPal may occasionally prohibit a buyer from submitting payment to a seller through PayPal. Contact PayPal's customer service team for help and learn more in their Security Centre.
How does direct debit work?
Here is a brief outline of using direct debit to pay for a purchase:
1. During Checkout, the buyer selects direct debit as the payment method.
2. The Checkout process is completed.
3. Once Checkout is complete an email is sent to the buyer with Trade Winds NZ bank account and reference details.
4. Payment must be made within 48hrs of purchasing the item.
If payment has not been received within 48 working hours, the purchase will be cancelled.
5. Once item has been paid for, the item will be shipped.
Do you offer account credit?
We do not offer credit purchases
How long will it take for payment to clear?
Both Paypal payments and direct debits may take 1-2 working days to be cleared.
How do I order with cashiers cheques or money orders?
At this point we do not accept cashiers cheques or money orders.
How do I obtain an invoice/receipt?
An invoice/receipt will be emailed to you after purchase of an item.
Do you keep my credit card information?
As all our credit card transactions are processed through Paypal, we do not receive your credit card information and therefore do not hold or store any credit card details you provide.

- During Checkout, the buyer selects PayPal as the payment method. The buyer is directed to PayPal to complete the payment process. The buyer can either sign in to their PayPal account or may be able to use a credit card without having to register for a PayPal account.
- After submitting payment through PayPal, the buyer is directed back to a confirmation page on Trade Winds NZ. Trade Winds NZ and PayPal will send the buyer and seller an email receipt about the order.
- The seller will see money deposited into their PayPal account. The payment may need to be "confirmed" on the seller's end.
